Husband of deceased pregnant Weronika defends himself against allegations. "I know it looks bad"
Weronika died on May 14, 2023. Her husband had found her unconscious at home the day before. Doctors tried to save her son and performed a cesarean section. Unfortunately, the child was already dead. An autopsy showed that the woman had venous blood clots. However, it was not possible to determine what caused them. The original cause of the cardiac arrest is therefore unknown. The prosecutor's office has discontinued the proceedings, and has already done so twice . However, Weronika's relatives are not giving up in the fight for the truth. The 23-year-old's husband, whom they accuse of being involved in her death, does not want to talk to the media. He spoke at the very beginning on Polsat's Interwencja, but without revealing his image. Later, he did not want to comment on the matter. Now, in a television report, he was reminded of what he said.

He added that he does not want to reveal his face because he has received so much hate that he is afraid to leave the house.
— The truth is that Kuba is so hypocritical. You can't believe anything he says. We have a lot of evidence for that – says Sandra Wróblewska, Weronika's sister.

The deceased's husband assured Interwencja in a conversation that he was aware that the case did not look unfavourable to him and that the circumstances of Weronika's death were mysterious, but that he did not kill her.
I know it looks really bad, but — damn it — I wouldn't kill her for a few thousand. I wouldn't kill her for any money at all, I wanted a family
